DMK president M.K. Stalin chaired the party’s reorganisation headquarters representatives’ meeting via video conference in Chennai on Wednesday.

In his address, Stalin asked representatives to visit their districts and carry out their responsibilities without yielding to any pressure. He also urged them to listen to views from all sections of the party.

Referring to his announcement that elections will be held for responsibilities from the branch level up to the party headquarters, Stalin said cadres should be told that the process will be conducted fairly and transparently.

Stalin noted that, based on the party executive committee’s resolutions, several functionaries may lose their posts during the reshuffle. However, he stressed that no one would be abandoned and that alternative roles would be assigned according to their suitability.

He added that membership enrolment should begin after the reorganisation work is completed, emphasising that a strong organisational base is essential for the party’s strength and continuity.
