PMK leader Anbumani Ramadoss criticised Chennai Mayor R. Priya, alleging that her remarks indirectly admit that schemes were announced but not carried through. He said the credit for implementing what he called “sticker schemes” would ultimately go to the DMK.

In the same set of comments, Anbumani also reacted to a separate issue raised by Deputy Chief Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin. He said it is a long-standing Assembly practice for department secretaries and officials to be present in the Officers’ Gallery during Question Hour so they can understand members’ queries and provide inputs for replies.

He noted that Speaker M. Appavu had issued instructions on the matter, and argued that the Assembly should focus on discussing public issues rather than praising individuals. He also said members should avoid wasting time with unrelated personal talk.

Anbumani further referred to Chennai Police Commissioner Amalraj’s expertise in shooting and said he has been training police youth to participate in national-level shooting competitions. He added that DGP Mahesh Kumar Agarwal has also won multiple accolades in shooting events.
