ISRO Chairman Narayanan on Thursday said the space agency is preparing for its “next leap” even as it continues to deliver services for the country. He was speaking after the successful launch of the EOS-05 satellite aboard the GSLV-F17 rocket from Sriharikota in Andhra Pradesh.
Greeting citizens, Narayanan noted that the mission was completed before sunrise and called it an energising moment for the organisation. He congratulated the nation and thanked the ISRO teams who worked on the launch.
He also said it was heartening to see former ISRO chiefs Radhakrishnan, Somanath and Kiran Kumar witness the success in person, and expressed gratitude to all partners who have worked with ISRO.
Narayanan said this was the first successful launch from Sriharikota in the current financial year. Under the Prime Minister’s guidance, ISRO is planning six more launches from the spaceport this fiscal year, with preparations progressing in coordination with industry and other institutions.
Quoting a saying that “the reward for more work is even more work,” he said many tasks lie ahead and ISRO will continue to provide the best possible services to the people and the nation, while moving forward on India’s journey in the coming years.
