New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday congratulated Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni for achieving a post-war record as Italy’s longest continuously serving prime minister.
Modi and Meloni are known to share a warm rapport and have met on the sidelines of major international gatherings, including the G7. Their interactions, including a selfie that went viral online, have often drawn public attention.
In a message posted on September 4, Modi said the milestone reflects the trust and support Meloni enjoys among the people of Italy. He extended his best wishes for her continued success in the years ahead.
