Nepal’s National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority has said substantial funding will be required to rebuild Rasuwa district after last month’s devastating floods.
The floods, which struck on August 26, caused widespread destruction across parts of the country. Thousands of people were reported dead.
Authorities also said many people remain missing following the disaster.
The NDMA’s remarks underline the scale of reconstruction expected in Rasuwa, as recovery efforts continue in the aftermath of the flooding.
