RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat received a warm welcome in London, the final leg of his overseas tour linked to the organisation’s 100th anniversary.

UK Conservative Party MP Bob Blackman said he was “pleased” to listen to Bhagwat’s thoughts and ideas about the future, sharing the message on social media.

According to the report, more than 100 UK-based Hindu and community organisations—including the Hindu Council UK and the Hindu Forum of Britain—backed the visit and praised the RSS’s efforts aimed at promoting social harmony.

While some opposition MPs raised objections, UK Defence Minister Dan Jarvis told Parliament that Bhagwat’s visit was in line with the country’s immigration rules.

Bhagwat is expected to address a gathering of people of Indian origin in the UK during the visit.
