Chennai: Chief Minister Vijay on Friday conveyed Teachers’ Day greetings to educators, calling on people to celebrate and honour their contributions to society.
In a statement, he recalled that Teachers’ Day is observed on the birth anniversary of Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, India’s former President and a renowned educationist. He said teachers work selflessly for the bright future of students.
The Chief Minister said teachers kindle the light of knowledge in young minds and instil values such as discipline, humanity, brotherhood and social responsibility. He added that they help students pursue their dreams, guide their talents and lay the foundation for their future lives.
He further noted that the work of teachers supports not only the nation’s growth but also broader social progress. He expressed hope that teachers’ dedication and guidance would make students’ futures even brighter.
