A commemorative postage stamp to mark the coral jubilee of Tamil daily Dinamalar will be released in Chennai on Friday (September 5). Vice President C.P. Radhakrishnan is scheduled to unveil the stamp and deliver the jubilee address.

The event will be held at the Valluvar Kottam auditorium in Nungambakkam, with the programme set to begin at 4.30 pm. The newspaper is marking 75 years of its journey.

Major Manoj, Director of the Chennai City Region Postal Department, will preside over the function. Dinamalar Associate Editor R. Krishnamurthy will deliver the welcome address, while R.R. Gopalji, publisher of the Vellore edition, will propose the vote of thanks.

A brief presentation on Dinamalar’s 75-year journey and legacy, curated by journalist Rangaraj Pandey, will be shared during the programme. A special video on the newspaper’s history and its founder T.V. Ramasubbaiyer is also set to be screened.
