India registered a comfortable seven-wicket win over Pakistan in a Group A league match of the Women’s Asia Cup in Dubai.

Pakistan won the toss and chose to bat, but struggled from the start. Despite a few early chances going down, India struck first when Pakistan reached 27, and the innings soon collapsed under sustained pressure.

Pakistan were bowled out for 55 in 18.1 overs, their lowest total in T20 cricket. Zulfiqar top-scored with 14, while Muneeba Ali made 13; the rest of the batters fell for single-digit scores.

For India, Sree Charani and Prema Rawat picked up three wickets each, Deepti Sharma took two, and Shafali Verma claimed one.

Chasing 56, India lost Shafali Verma (12), Smriti Mandhana (9) and Pratika Rawal (4) early. Captain Harmanpreet Kaur (18) and Deepti Sharma (12) then guided the chase as India reached the target in 8.4 overs. India now have 15 wins against Pakistan in T20s, with Pakistan winning three.
