A Virgin Atlantic flight bound for London made an emergency landing at Kempegowda International Airport in Bengaluru on Saturday after a technical issue was reported shortly after departure.

The aircraft, carrying 270 passengers, took off around 8.20 am. Within minutes, the crew detected a technical snag and the pilot alerted the airport’s air traffic control.

Following the alert, the flight reportedly circled near Tumakuru for over half an hour before turning back towards Bengaluru.

The aircraft landed safely, and airport authorities said all passengers were safe. Officials have begun an inquiry to determine the cause of the technical problem.
