Assembly resumes after holiday break
The Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly will reconvene today after a three-day government holiday.
Reply to police and fire services grant debate
On September 3, the House held discussions on the grant demands for the Police Department and the Fire and Rescue Services Department. Chief Minister Vijay is scheduled to deliver the government’s reply to that debate today.
Opposition leaders took part
The debate saw participation from Leader of the Opposition Udhayanidhi, former Chief Minister Palanisami, and other party leaders in the Assembly.
More grant discussions lined up
Following the Chief Minister’s reply, the Assembly is expected to take up grant demand discussions for the Commercial Taxes Department, the Stamp Duty and Registration Department, and the Forest, Environment and Climate Change Department.
Ministers to respond with key announcements
Ministers Lokesh Tamilselvan, Ranjith Kumar, and Rajiv are set to reply to the discussions and make key announcements related to their departments.
