Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Vijay on Monday made sharp remarks in the Assembly, alleging that a group he referred to as the “Karur gang” had been involved in collecting party funds by pressuring bar owners.
According to his speech, bar owners were allegedly compelled to pay money, which he described as “party fund” collections. Vijay said such practices were unacceptable and raised the issue on the floor of the House.
In an aggressive tone, the Chief Minister questioned who was behind the alleged network, asking who the “leader” of the Karur gang was.
The remarks came amid political sparring between TVK and the DMK, as reflected in the video’s framing and hashtags. The clip was published by Dinamalar TV on September 7, 2026.
