Actor Ajith, known for his interest in car racing and participation in races abroad, has thanked the Tamil Nadu government after it announced plans to build a “world-class” car racing track.
The announcement drew public attention as Ajith has travelled to several countries for motorsport events and has won prizes. His response was seen as an endorsement of the state’s proposed infrastructure push in the sport.
In the same context, PMK leader Anbumani Ramadoss made a series of comments touching on governance. He said the public expects good administration and that legislative time should not be wasted on unnecessary debates.
Anbumani also said law and order has not collapsed and cautioned against drawing broad conclusions from individual criminal incidents. He added that the public should work with the police in a “community policing” approach to improve law-and-order measures.
