Chennai Central Crime Branch (CCB) police have issued a lookout notice against Muthukumar, a key suspect in an alleged fraud involving private schools.
Police say the case relates to claims that more than Rs 100 crore was collected from private schools by promising to secure official recognition, facilitate upgrades and handle related processes.
In the same case, Arasakumar (59), identified as DMK’s media communications wing deputy chairman, has been arrested on allegations of cheating.
Investigators state that Muthukumar (48), described as an associate of Arasakumar and a DMK functionary, is absconding. The lookout notice has been issued to prevent him from fleeing abroad and to alert authorities to trace him.
