Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday remembered the victims of the September 11 terror attacks in the United States, as the world marked 25 years since the tragedy.
In a message, Modi said India pays tribute to those who lost their lives and stands in solidarity with the families affected. He noted that terrorism has claimed countless lives across the world.
Referring to India’s own experience, the Prime Minister said the country has long been on the frontlines as a nation impacted by cross-border terrorism. He added that even as the threat continues to evolve, India’s resolve to oppose terrorism in all its forms remains unchanged.
Modi also said India will extend full support to all efforts aimed at eliminating the menace of terrorism.
