Kyiv: Russia has suffered heavy losses since the war with Ukraine began, with more than 500,000 Russian troops reported killed, according to British military data cited by Western intelligence.

The conflict between Russia and Ukraine has continued beyond four years. Despite significant losses in personnel and weaponry on the battlefield, Russia has continued its offensive operations.

British and Western intelligence assessments said Russia’s operational momentum against Ukraine has slowed noticeably, even as attacks persist.

The same data claimed around 1.5 million Russian personnel have been wounded since the invasion began in February 2022.

Alongside human losses, Russia is also said to have lost more than 10,000 armoured vehicles, over 3,000 air-defence and artillery systems, and more than 370 combat aircraft and helicopters.
