A risky stunt on the Sindh river in Sonamarg, Jammu and Kashmir, nearly turned fatal after a group of youths drove a Scorpio vehicle into the flowing water while filming reels.
According to reports, the SUV reached the middle of the river before the current overwhelmed it, leaving the vehicle stuck and the occupants unable to move to safety. The youths then raised an alarm for help.
Police and local residents mounted a prolonged rescue effort and managed to bring the youths out safely. The Scorpio was also recovered from the river.
After the incident, police reprimanded the group and registered a case, citing negligent and irresponsible behaviour.
