A video of Abu Dhabi’s Prince Sheikh Khalid bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan personally thanking his car driver has gone viral on social media, drawing widespread appreciation.

The incident occurred as the prince was departing New Delhi after attending the 18th BRICS summit held at Bharat Mandapam on September 12 and 13. He represented UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan at the meeting.

During the visit, the prince also held detailed bilateral discussions with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The talks covered trade expansion, energy security, artificial intelligence, financial cooperation and regional security in West Asia.

In the viral clip, the prince is seen arriving at the airport, stepping out of his car and greeting officials. As he began walking toward the aircraft, he appeared to realise he had not thanked the driver, turned back, returned to the vehicle and shook the driver’s hand to express his gratitude.

Many users online have praised the gesture as simple and humane, saying it reflected humility and respect for service staff.
