The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has registered an FIR in connection with the death of Disha Salian, who had earlier worked as actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s manager. The case has drawn renewed attention after allegations were made against former Maharashtra minister Aaditya Thackeray, with claims that the incident was later covered up.

Salian died on June 8, 2020, after falling from the 14th floor of a high-rise building in Mumbai’s Malad suburb. Days later, on June 14, 2020, actor Sushant Singh Rajput was found dead at his apartment in Bandra under mysterious circumstances.

According to the report, the Bombay High Court, while hearing a petition filed by Salian’s father, directed that the matter be investigated by the CBI. Following this, the agency registered the case invoking sections related to murder, gang rape, criminal conspiracy, destruction of evidence and providing false information.

The FIR, as cited in the report, alleges that former Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray and others played a key role in an alleged conspiracy to conceal the crime. It also calls for questioning of police and government officials over alleged destruction of records, forgery of official documents, misuse of public funds and misuse of the police machinery to protect the accused.

The FIR further states that the roles of Aaditya Thackeray, Dino Morea, Sooraj Pancholi, actor Rhea Chakraborty, and doctors and staff accused of delaying the post-mortem report should be examined as part of the investigation.
