AIADMK general secretary Edappadi K Palaniswami on Monday expressed confidence that his party would win the upcoming by-elections in Madurantakam and Dharapuram.

Speaking to reporters at the Chennai airport, Palaniswami said both constituencies had previously been won by the AIADMK and remained areas where the party enjoys strong influence.

He also referred to Chief Minister Vijay’s visit to London to attract industrial investments, adding that more details would be known after the Chief Minister returns to Chennai.

Palaniswami further alleged that people in Tamil Nadu are being severely affected by unannounced power cuts. He said the outages have troubled residents, increased mosquito-related discomfort, and disrupted students’ ability to study.
