An Indian woman named Swathi has gone viral on Instagram after posting videos about workplace routines in Sweden. In one clip, she says that when she reached office at 7:45 am, the parking area was already around 70% full.

She contrasts this with India, where many employees typically arrive around 9:00 or 9:30 am. According to her, Swedish employees tend to start their workday much earlier.

In an earlier video, Swathi also showed that by about 4:30 pm the office appeared largely empty, suggesting an earlier wrap-up to the workday. The posts have triggered online discussions comparing Indian and European corporate cultures.

Many Indian corporate employees have reacted positively, with some arguing that long working hours are often treated as a sign of hard work in India. Commenters also noted that in Sweden, employees often drop children at school around 7:00 am and head straight to work, enabling them to leave earlier in the evening.

Several users further claimed that Swedish workplaces focus more on the quality of output than the number of hours spent at a desk, and that employees are generally not expected to work late evenings or weekends.
