Zoho founder Sridhar Vembu has said the nation will rise stronger even as it faces threats, commenting on a proposed 100% import tariff in the United States.

According to the report, a bill to impose a 100% import duty on five countries—including India—for purchasing crude oil from Russia was passed in the US Senate last month. The final vote in the US House of Representatives is scheduled for tomorrow.

In his post, Vembu said the tariff threat clearly underlines how correct the actions of the BRICS grouping have been, adding that the global order is changing even as discussions continue.

He said this is a moment for the country to remain strong and resolute, and that the challenges and hardships will pass. India, he added, will rise even stronger in the face of such threats.
