TIRUPPUR: Minister Arun Raj on Tuesday launched a sharp attack on the DMK, saying that “when people see DMK leaders, corruption is what comes to mind.” He made the remarks while speaking to reporters in Dharapuram in Tiruppur district.
The minister said organ transplantation is an important medical service, noting that many patients have registered and are waiting on official lists for surgeries. He asserted that the organ transplant wing in the health department would function with complete transparency under the current government.
Arun Raj said priority would be given to those on the waiting list. He added that the government would not remain silent if organ transplantation is turned into a business.
Continuing his political criticism, he claimed that when former DMK ministers campaign, the public recalls the corruption they allegedly committed. He further said their campaign visits would make it easier for “Thavega” to win.
The minister’s comments were made during a media interaction in Dharapuram.
