New Delhi: Russian President Vladimir Putin has sent a congratulatory message to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the occasion of Modi’s 76th birthday.
In his message, Putin said Modi enjoys respect among the people of India and has gained significant influence on the global stage. He also credited Modi with a major personal contribution to strengthening ties between India and Russia.
Putin further thanked Modi for the warm welcome and hospitality extended to him and the Russian delegation during his visit to Delhi last week.
He said their talks were open and productive, adding that he was pleased to speak with Modi and that the discussions once again reflected the Prime Minister’s far-sighted approach.
Putin said the two friendly nations would continue constructive cooperation on key bilateral and international issues in the interests of both countries.
