Delhi University Students’ Union (DUSU) election results for 2026 were announced on Friday, with the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) winning the president’s post.

ABVP candidate Yash Dabas was elected president after securing 24,576 votes. Vote counting was held amid heavy security, and the lead reportedly shifted across multiple rounds before the final outcome.

The vice-president post went to independent candidate Deepanshu Shokeen, who defeated NSUI’s Vijay Meena with 30,634 votes.

ABVP also won the secretary and joint secretary posts. Riya Chawdhary won as secretary by defeating NSUI candidate Namrata Chaudhary, while Lakshya Raj Singh was elected joint secretary.

Following the results, ABVP members and supporters celebrated by bursting crackers and distributing sweets.
