The Communist Party of India (Marxist) held a protest in Pattinapakkam, opposing the Tamil Nadu government’s proposal to construct a new Secretariat in the area.

The demonstration was organised at the Srinivasa Puram junction, where party members raised objections to the location and called for the project to be abandoned.

According to the report, the protest was aimed at pressing the government to withdraw the plan to build the new Secretariat at Pattinapakkam.

The event was reported as a CPM-led agitation at the junction, focused specifically on stopping the proposed construction at the site.
