A conference of state finance ministers was held in New Delhi under the chairmanship of Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman.
The meeting took place at Bharat Mandapam and was organised around the theme, “Financing India’s journey towards Viksit Bharat.” Discussions focused on economic growth and the sharing of financial resources.
Tamil Nadu Finance Minister Maria Wilson was among the participants. She later shared a photograph from the conference on social media.
In her post, Wilson said she attended the meeting as per the guidance of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Vijay. She added that she raised key demands related to Tamil Nadu’s economic development and the state’s federal rights, and discussed them in detail at the conference.
