Andhumani has responded to chatter suggesting that raids could be carried out at the homes of TVK members. His comments came in a tone that questioned whether such claims were being made out of fear that the “next raid” could target someone close.
In the same set of remarks, he stressed the need for basic public-health precautions. He listed measures such as wearing masks, avoiding crowded places, preventing stagnant water and sewage buildup, and ensuring clean drinking water and healthy food.
He also made pointed political observations, implying that certain statements were indirectly reflecting internal disputes linked to “family politics.”
Andhumani further took aim at criticism surrounding vegetarian food, saying many people worldwide are shifting to vegetarian diets. Referring to Prime Minister Narendra Modi hosting a vegetarian meal for leaders attending a BRICS meeting, he suggested the criticism was driven by resentment.
He ended with additional jabs, including a film-dialogue-style comparison and a remark that action should be taken against ambulances that allegedly avoid calls and “make excuses.”
