Two Indian students undergoing flight training in Canada were killed in an aircraft crash during a training sortie, authorities confirmed.
The incident occurred early on September 18, when a Cessna 172 operated by Harv’s Air flight training school was being flown by two licensed pilots as part of a night training exercise. The aircraft was on a route from Regina via Carlyle to Steinbach, Manitoba, when it crashed near Saskatchewan.
Both occupants on board died in the accident. They were identified as Manoj Sivakumar from Tamil Nadu and Sreesaran Thirugnanasambandam from Puducherry.
In a post on X, the Indian mission in Canada said it is supporting the families during the difficult time and will provide all necessary assistance to bring the bodies back to India.
