Actor Ambika on Tuesday hit back at sister Radha’s complaint to the Chennai Police Commissioner, calling the allegations “baseless” and linked to a long-running property dispute.
Radha had alleged that a cheque kept at her Chennai residence was stolen and that Ambika and their brother Mallikarjun Kunjan Nair attempted to cheat her of Rs 46 crore. She also told reporters that her calls were not answered and that she was not even allowed into the house.
Speaking to reporters in Chennai on September 23, Ambika said the core issue was the ARS Garden property and claimed she played a key role in its creation. She denied claims that the property was given by MGR, saying it was built through her own efforts.
Ambika further alleged that her name was removed from the ARS Garden property without informing her and claimed that gold in her name was being held by Radha. She said Radha had issued a cheque to settle the property issue and later stopped it, adding that “if I tell the truth, she will have to go to jail.”
