West Bengal politics has taken a fresh turn ahead of a by-election, after a candidate backed by the former Chief Minister reportedly changed their position.
According to the report, the BJP won the state’s general election held in April, leading to Mamata Banerjee’s Trinamool Congress (TMC) losing power. Mamata Banerjee, who was Chief Minister, also suffered defeat in the election.
The report further states that senior BJP leader Suvendu Adhikari won in both Nandigram and Bhabanipur constituencies and subsequently became the Chief Minister.
The latest development involving the former Chief Minister’s candidate is being seen as a significant twist in the by-election, intensifying political attention in the state.
