PMK leader Anbumani Ramadoss has raised questions over why a person named Raghupathi is travelling as a “volunteer” in a vehicle, suggesting it points to unresolved issues.
Referring to a rail project, he said it has been running for about 10 years despite an original target of three years. He alleged that driverless train trials are being conducted daily from morning to evening, yet faults persist and the work remains incomplete.
Anbumani also said roads in the affected areas have not been properly restored, leaving the public to bear the brunt. He added that the disruptions are hurting trade as well.
While calling for immediate rectification of safety and maintenance issues—such as wheels coming off on the road, broken steps and leaking roofs during rains—he welcomed the introduction of electric buses. He said electric buses would also reduce smoke emitted from buses onto two-wheeler riders, and urged that the transition be implemented quickly.
He said the Union government should take appropriate action to address the situation.
