DVAC (anti-corruption) officials conducted searches at the residence of DMK Member of Parliament Annadurai in Tiruvannamalai on Thursday (Sept 25), officials said.
According to sources, the searches covered more than 10 locations linked to the MP in the Vengikkal area of Tiruvannamalai district. Two DVAC teams, arriving from Vellore and Tiruvannamalai, took part in the operation.
The action follows complaints alleging irregularities when Annadurai undertook various works after securing contracts through the Highways Department during the DMK regime.
DVAC officials said the searches were also based on allegations that the MP accumulated assets disproportionate to his known sources of income. Further details on the findings were not immediately available.
