Chennai police continued intensive investigation in the sexual assault case involving Gem Granites owner Veeramani (85), who has been arrested under the POCSO Act and remanded to Puzhal prison.
Along with him, his close associate Shanti (61), her husband Mahender Singh (63) and an aide, Ganesan (55), are also lodged in the same prison, according to the report.
Investigators say key materials seized include a private diary allegedly maintained by Veeramani and videos linked to the abuse. Based on information emerging from these materials, police questioned Shanti and Mahender Singh through the night after securing three days of custody.
The questioning reportedly focused on how long the alleged abuse continued and whether money was extorted using the videos. Police also plan to take Shanti to the location where the alleged acts occurred for further questioning.
