Chennai: Chief Minister Vijay on Saturday marked the first anniversary of the Karur tragedy, saying the day remains a wound that has not healed for families in Karur and for people across Tamil Nadu.
In a social media post, he recalled that the incident took place on September 27, 2025, describing it as a painful event that left an enduring scar in his life and in the minds of the public.
He said many continue to carry an indescribable grief, including the affected families in Karur and members of the Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam.
The Chief Minister urged people to stand as comfort and support for one another in the face of loss, and offered heartfelt tributes to those who are remembered.
