BJP leader K. Annamalai has strongly criticised what he described as an “indecent” and unacceptable tone in recent political speeches linked to the Madurantakam and Dharapuram Assembly bypoll campaign.
According to the Dinamalar TV report, the campaign has seen remarks by some senior leaders crossing limits, triggering public attention and controversy.
The report also refers to a sharp war of words between opposition leader Udhayanidhi and minister Aadhav Arjuna, with the exchange being portrayed as offensive in nature.
Annamalai’s comments come amid growing scrutiny of campaign rhetoric, as parties trade accusations over the language used in public meetings during the bypoll outreach.
