India’s medal count at the ongoing Asian Games in Japan has risen to 39, including 4 gold, 17 silver and 18 bronze medals.
The 20th edition of the Games is being held in Aichi–Nagoya. On September 28, Indian shooter Esha Singh added to the tally by winning a silver medal in the women’s 25m pistol event.
Esha narrowly missed out on gold after a close contest against China’s Xiao. Her result further strengthened India’s overall standing in the medal table.
As of the latest update, India’s medals stand at 4 gold, 17 silver and 18 bronze.
