Ribos Energy has launched a “mini diesel bunk” designed to support organisations that operate large numbers of vehicles, including schools, colleges, construction firms and logistics users. Vehicle owners said the system could ease day-to-day operational hurdles by bringing fuel access closer to where vehicles are parked.
The product was showcased at the 44th state general body meeting and 7th state conference of the Tamil Nadu Petroleum Dealers Association, held at Panchappur in Tiruchirappalli. More than 50 stalls featuring petroleum products, new vehicle oils and modern spare parts were part of the exhibition, where the mini diesel bunk drew significant attention.
Explaining the concept, Ribos Energy co-founder Aparajith Subramanian said the company focuses on fuel management and enables diesel delivery to the customer’s premises. The unit functions like a compact diesel station, with a minimum storage capacity of up to 2,000 litres.
Vehicle numbers and required quantities can be registered in the system, and dispensing is allowed only after approval through software by the owner or an authorised controller. The software also provides real-time stock updates and alerts; when fuel runs low, dealers can refill the unit at the site.
He added that owner-controlled dispensing reduces the risk of fuel theft and eliminates the need for vehicles to queue at fuel stations amid traffic. The company will install the units for customers with at least 10 vehicles, and the mini bunks can be used on an ownership or rental basis.
