India added a major highlight to its Asian Games campaign on Sunday as shooter Neeru won the gold medal in the women’s trap event.
The Asian Games are being held in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan. Neeru’s victory delivered India’s fifth gold of the ongoing edition.
The result also marked India’s first individual gold medal at these Games, according to the organisers’ updates.
With this win, India’s overall medal count reached 47.
