PMK leader Anbumani Ramadoss has weighed in on questions about whether TVK can succeed beyond Tamil Nadu, including in West Bengal. He said such moves may be possible, but stressed that the party must first use the opportunity given by the people of Tamil Nadu responsibly and ensure the state’s development.
Warning against “overreaching,” Anbumani argued that political expansion should not come at the cost of governance priorities at home. His remarks were framed as advice to keep the focus on delivering results in Tamil Nadu.
In the same set of comments, he also spoke about civic cleanliness, saying garbage issues would ease if municipal workers were held accountable rather than expecting residents to repeatedly stage protests.
Anbumani further made political jabs at opponents, including a personal dig aimed at Udhayanidhi and criticism of Edappadi K. Palaniswami, alleging that the latter’s own cadre does not heed him and that his rhetoric has shifted after electoral setbacks.
