A Flydubai passenger flight from Dubai to Tel Aviv made an emergency landing in Saudi Arabia after an incident inside the cockpit, according to reports.
The aircraft, operating as flight FZ1073, was carrying passengers from multiple countries, including more than 100 Israeli travellers. While the plane was in the air, an argument reportedly broke out between the two pilots and escalated into a physical fight.
During the clash, one pilot allegedly stabbed the other with a pocket knife. Following the incident, an emergency alert was issued and a hijack-related alarm signal was transmitted, heightening concern among passengers.
Investigators later confirmed that the alert was triggered due to the cockpit altercation and that it was not an attempted hijacking or unlawful takeover of the aircraft. The emergency landing was carried out as a precaution after the alarm was raised.
