KARAIKUDI: BJP former national secretary H Raja on Tuesday cautioned Chief Minister Vijay to be “careful” about Communist parties, alleging they behave like “rats in packed rice” within the ruling alliance.
Speaking to reporters after celebrating his birthday in Karaikudi, Raja claimed that power cuts were increasing in Tamil Nadu. He also alleged that crimes against women had occurred during the government’s first 100 days, and said people were beginning to feel as if there was “no government.”
Raja further said three Election Commission officials had stated they sat together and functioned in coordination, and asserted that the Election Commission was acting honestly. He also criticised Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and former Union minister P Chidambaram.
Referring to upcoming by-elections, Raja claimed that if the ruling party loses in both constituencies, parties such as the Communists and VCK would not remain in the alliance. He alleged that while publicly supporting the government and gaining benefits, the Communists were simultaneously fielding candidates to create an impression that the administration is unstable.
He urged the Chief Minister not to place trust in those who should not be trusted, warning that it could affect the course of the government.
