Minister Sengottaiyan on Tuesday expressed confidence of a sweeping victory in the by-elections in Madurantakam and Dharapuram.
Speaking to reporters in Dharapuram, he said the ground situation indicated a “big win” in both constituencies, and claimed the results would be “historic” for the two seats.
He further said the by-election would become a landmark contest in India, adding that people were appreciating the governance of the Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam.
According to him, public response has been strong, with people gathering in large numbers to see and welcome the party’s campaign.
