Minister K.A. Sengottaiyan on Tuesday said Chief Minister Vijay’s work and honesty had been appreciated even by Supreme Court judges. He made the remarks while addressing a TVK campaign meeting at Chithravuthanpalayam near Dharapuram.
In his speech, Sengottaiyan told the gathering that people had placed their trust in Vijay and described him as a “guiding light” for the country. He further claimed that two Supreme Court judges, after observing Vijay’s work and integrity, had remarked that there was no other Chief Minister like him in Tamil Nadu or even across India.
Referring to the political mood in the region, the minister said October 6 would be a day to “prove” Dharapuram as a “whistle fort.” He also said residents were seeking the implementation of the Aanaimalaiyar and Nallaatru projects, along with the Uppaaru and Amaravathi schemes.
Sengottaiyan alleged that Dharapuram lacked even a single drinking water project and remained a backward area. He said an order for a drinking water scheme costing Rs 147.90 crore would be issued soon, and claimed the verdict in two Assembly constituencies would be significant enough to draw attention nationwide.
