Chennai: Chief Minister Vijay on Wednesday urged people to take a pledge to build a healthier, more aware society by promoting voluntary blood donation.
In a statement issued on National Voluntary Blood Donation Day, he conveyed greetings to all blood donors, describing them as selfless life-savers who uphold the highest values of humanity.
He noted that blood donation is essential in many situations, including surgeries and accidents, and said each drop donated can not only save a life but also safeguard a family’s future hope.
Calling donors “true messengers of life-saving service,” the Chief Minister appealed to the public to spread awareness about voluntary blood donation and come forward to donate blood to help save lives.
Separately, the Chief Minister also released a tribute on the birth anniversary of actor Sivaji Ganesan, remembering his towering contributions to Tamil cinema and his ability to bring a wide range of roles and human emotions to life through his performances.
