Supreme Court judges Sanjay Kumar and Sanjeev Sachdeva on Tuesday made appreciative remarks about Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Vijay during a court hearing.

The comments came when Tamil Nadu government advocate B. Karunakaran appeared before the bench in connection with a case. Karunakaran told the court he had earlier appeared in the same matter in a private capacity.

He requested an adjournment, stating that since he is now representing the state as a government advocate, the earlier counsel role in the case should be transferred to another lawyer.

Accepting the request, the judges observed that while some issues in Tamil Nadu still need to be set right, the Chief Minister is currently functioning well. They added that they had received good information about Vijay and said they were happy for the state.
