A function to honour 11 achiever women was held at Alwarpet in Chennai under the banner of the organisation ‘We The Leaders’. The event highlighted the need to strengthen women’s safety and progress.
Speaking at the programme, the organisation’s chief Annamalai said the presence of eight women in the TVK cabinet was commendable. He described it as a positive step for women’s representation.
His remarks also sparked interest over whether ‘We The Leaders’ could enter the fray in the upcoming local body elections, with his comments seen as a hint in that direction.
The programme focused on recognising women’s achievements while reiterating calls for continued efforts towards women’s empowerment and security.
