Mumbai: RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat on Thursday said people need guidance to face day-to-day challenges, cautioning that even minor disappointments can drive them into fear and frustration.
Speaking at an event in Mumbai, Bhagwat said the nation and dharma are inseparable. He described dharma as the purpose of the nation and said it, in turn, helps sustain the nation—arguing that both depend on each other.
He also spoke about identity, saying people may identify by city or state in different contexts, but become “Indians” when they go abroad. Referring to a mobile app created to read and listen to the spiritual text Dnyaneshwari, he said it should be taken to the present generation so they can understand it.
Bhagwat further said the Bhagavad Gita contains reflections on questions such as who a human being is, what one’s goal is, what life means, and what the world’s purpose is. He said the text deals with timeless truths that do not change with time.
