Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke via video call with Indian pilot Captain Smith Kachar, who is reported to have prevented a hijack attempt on a Flydubai flight.
According to the report, Captain Kachar came under attack mid-air from a co-pilot but continued to act to safeguard passengers, putting his own life at risk.
During the call, the Prime Minister enquired about the pilot’s well-being and spoke to him about the incident.
