Minister Sengottaiyan on Friday said the upcoming by-election would become a “turning point” in Tamil Nadu politics, speaking to reporters in Erode.
He said the Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) government was running an administration without corruption and noted that the party’s leader and the Chief Minister would hold a roadshow as part of the election campaign.
According to the minister, the Dharapuram constituency would emerge as a special and “history-making” seat. He claimed that people everywhere were eager to see the Chief Minister.
Sengottaiyan further asserted that the by-election victory would be recorded in the state’s political history. He also predicted that TVK would win in a manner that would discourage the DMK or the AIADMK from contesting the next by-election.
